Join us for Verses and Conversing on April 20th, 2024, at 10:30 am. A BRAND NEW book club for poetry enthusiasts. We will explore the work of one poet each month. For April, we will dive into the poetry of Arra Lynn Ross.
Arra Lynn Ross is the author of Day of the Child and Seedlip and Sweet Apple. She is a poet, essayist, and puppet worker whose work has appeared in several journals. She also taught creative writing at Saginaw Valley State University.
Her collections Seedlip and Sweet Apple and Day of the Child are available via ebook from the Public Libraries of Saginaw. You can also purchase copies online. There will also be a few examples during the discussion we can read together. Our goal is simply to read more poetry! You can read her poem “Mother Ann tells Lucy What Gave Her Joy,” and an excerpt from “Day of the Child”.
Registration is encouraged but not required to attend book club. The book club is a free event. If you have any questions, please contact info@friendsofroethke.org.
