Join us for “Verses and Conversing”—a book club for poetry enthusiasts. We will explore the work of one poet each month. For June, we will dive into the poetry of Mary Oliver.
Mary Oliver was an award-winning poet. Her achievements included the Pulitzer Prize, the National Book Award, and a Lannan Literary Award for lifetime achievement. Mary Oliver’s poetry surveys the natural world as she holds up an honest mirror to what it means to be human.
Her collections are available in several formats from the Public Libraries of Saginaw. You can also purchase copies online. There will also be a few examples during the discussion we can read together.
Registration is encouraged but not required to attend book club. If you have any questions, please contact info@friendsofroethke.org.
