Unleash your voice through the transformative power of spoken word poetry.
Due to popular demand, we are hosting a second Spoken Voices Culture workshop. Floet will re-introduce the theme and build on the May 15 event, so whether you did or did not attend the first one, you’re sure to get something out of the workshop.
In the “Culture” workshop, FLOET will share some inspirational spoken word poets and performances related to culture broadly defined. You’ll have some time on your own to write, and then the group will share what they created.
The Saginaw Spoken Voices Poetry Project includes creative workshops, revision support, and performance guidance. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or just starting out, there’s a place for you in the Spoken Voices community. A complete list of SPOKEN VOICES workshops and events can be found here.
Spoken Voices Events are free, but registration is required. Participants must be 18 or accompanied by an adult.
The project is funded by an SVSU Foundation Community Engagement grant.
