The Charles L. McNair Freedom School is a 6 week summer reading program that will immerse students in a culturally rich and student centered environment that aims to foster a joy of reading and ignite a sense of hope to be advocates for social justice.
The Friends of Roethke Foundation is proud to support them and excited to write poetry, make books, and perform original work this summer! We’ll be visiting them at their sites, and we’ll be hosting them at our house.
