Verses and Conversing – Poetry Book Club

  • In Person at the Roethke House 1805 Gratiot Ave Saginaw, MI (Parking on Sandra or Larch) (map)

Join us for Verses and Conversing, a brand new book club for poetry enthusiasts! We will explore the work of one poet each month. For March, we will dive into the poetry of Diane Seuss.

Diane Seuss is an American poet and educator. Her book Frank: sonnets won the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry in 2022. She was born in Indiana and grew up in Michigan in various cities. Seuss was part of the 2022 Roethke speaker series.

Her collection Frank: sonnets is available through the Public Libraries of Saginaw in book and audiobook format. Her books can be found for sale online or you can find various pieces to read on the internet. Whatever format you want to digest the words is up to you! We will also have a few examples on-screen during the discussion. Our goal is simply to read more poetry!

Registration is encouraged but not required to attend book club. If you have any questions, please contact info@friendsofroethke.org.
